EMERGENCY FOOD BANK

The Frost Student Association operates an on-campus Emergency Food Bank to assist full-time Frost students who find themselves in an emergency situation.

Students can access the Emergency Food Bank once every 4 weeks for a maximum of 3 visits per semester.

The FSA is a member of the Kawartha Lakes Food Source (KLFS) food network.  Food is provided by donation to KLFS and then distributed amongst members in the network including the FSA Emergency Food Bank.  This monthly distribution combined with contributions from Fleming College, Aramark, and The Edwin Binney Community Gardens allows the FSA to assist students facing food insecurity.

Students who need to use the Emergency Food Bank must complete an Intake Form and meet the policy requirements. Information collected on this form is kept in the strictest of privacy.  This process also ensures that food is distributed fairly to those in need and that the system is not being abused.

**The FSA Emergency Food Bank serves single individuals only.  If you are a couple, single parent, or a family, please contact one of the local food banks to request service**
